Simple instruction sheets you can read here or print for home. These are general guides — always follow the specific advice your doctor gives you.

Eye care

  • Continue your regular medicines unless told otherwise.
  • Tell us about blood thinners and diabetes or BP medication.
  • Use prescribed antibiotic drops as advised.
  • Arrange someone to accompany you home.
  • Eat normally unless asked to fast.
  • Use the eye drops exactly on schedule.
  • Wear the protective shield while sleeping for the advised days.
  • Do not rub or press the eye; avoid dust and splashing water.
  • Avoid heavy lifting and swimming for the advised period.
  • Attend all follow-up visits.
  • Stop contact lenses before your assessment as advised.
  • Come with someone who can drive you home.
  • Avoid eye make-up on the day.
  • Ask us any questions about suitability beforehand.
  • Use lubricating and prescribed drops regularly.
  • Do not rub your eyes; wear the shield while sleeping as advised.
  • Avoid dusty places, swimming and eye make-up for the advised period.
  • Mild watering or glare for a day or two is normal.
  • Wash your hands first.
  • Tilt your head back and pull the lower lid down.
  • Put one drop inside the lower lid; do not touch the tip to the eye.
  • Close gently for a minute; wait 5 minutes between different drops.
  • Some redness and watering for a few days is expected.
  • Use drops as prescribed; keep hands clean.
  • Avoid swimming and dusty play for the advised period.
  • Attend the alignment follow-up.
  • Keep blood sugar, BP and cholesterol in target range.
  • Have a dilated retina check at least once a year.
  • Report sudden blurring, floaters or dark spots quickly.
  • Do not skip diabetes medicines.

ENT care

  • Share your full medicine list, including blood thinners.
  • Follow fasting instructions for anaesthesia.
  • Stop smoking before surgery if you can.
  • Arrange for someone to take you home.
  • Do saline nasal rinses as instructed.
  • Do not blow your nose forcefully early on.
  • Sleep with your head slightly raised.
  • Take prescribed medicines and attend follow-ups.
  • Offer plenty of fluids and a soft, cool diet.
  • Expect mild throat pain and ear discomfort for a few days.
  • Give pain relief as prescribed; avoid rough or sharp foods.
  • Report heavy bleeding or high fever immediately.
  • Keep the ear completely dry as advised.
  • Do not blow your nose hard; sneeze with mouth open.
  • Avoid air travel and swimming until cleared.
  • Take medicines and attend dressing or follow-up visits.
  • Identify and reduce triggers (dust, smoke, strong scents).
  • Use saline rinses and prescribed sprays regularly.
  • Keep bedding clean; ventilate rooms.
  • See us if symptoms persist despite treatment.

General

  • Follow fasting timing exactly as advised.
  • Wear loose, comfortable clothing.
  • Bring your reports, medicine list and insurance card.
  • Arrange a companion for the day.
  • Old glasses or prescriptions.
  • Your current medicines.
  • Any previous reports or scans.
  • Insurance or TPA card and a photo ID.
